Carrie E. A. Scott, is an American curator, director, TV presenter and art writer living in London. In concert with curating exhibitions and building both private and public art collections, Carrie works closely with a number of artists and photographers - including Nick Knight, David Sims, Lord Snowdon, Walter & Zoniel, Marina Shacola, Hugo Rittson Thomas and Federico Pestilli - to establish strong and sustained markets on their behalf.
She also collaborates with Nick Knight's SHOWstudio as the Director of the SHOWstudio Shop, she has built the program since January 2010.
In 2017, Scott appeared as a presenter on The Art Show, a series on Sky Arts that captures the artists of our lifetime that have inspired collectors and art lovers alike.
Before starting her own company, CS&P, in 2009 Scott was Director of Nicole Klagbsrun Gallery, New York, where she worked closely with artists such as Beth Campbell, Matthew Day Jackson, Rashid Johnson, Mika Rottenberg, Adam McEwen, and Storm Tharp. Prior to that, Scott was noted curator of the Hedreen Gallery at Seattle University's Lee Center, Director of the James Harris Gallery, and a freelance curator.
In addition to her curatorial experience, Scott is also an arts writer and has a Master's in Art History, with a focus on Sound Art. She has developed Modern and Contemporary collections in Europe and the United States and worked with executives to help them establish, manage, and maintain corporate art collections. She has commissioned site-specific art for special locations; and produced art exhibitions and events at their facilities.
Scott is also a freelance art critic with a Bachelor's Degree in English from Dickinson College, Carlisle, Pennsylvania and a Master's in Art History from the University of Washington, Seattle, Washington.
