Say a Prayer for the Boys Over There lyrics

Say A Prayer

Say a prayer for the boys over there,
As they fight 'neath that star-spangled banner,
Say a prayer as they gallantly fight,
Let your faith be their guiding light,
Kneel and pray that there'll soon come a day,
When the hearts of men will be lighter,
Till the song of freedom fills the air,
Say a prayer for the boys over there.

Below is the version as used in the UK

Say a prayer for the boys over there,
let your hearts beat high with thanksgiving,
Bless them all as they valiantly fight,
And let your love be their guiding star each night,
Kneel and pray at the end of each day
Let your prayers help make their lives brighter
For the sake of freedom every where,
Say a Prayer for the boys over there

Say a prayer for the boys over there
When they play the Star Spangled Banner
Picture them by the dawn's early light
And ask the Lord to watch over them each night.

Lift your eyes as you silently rise
When they play the Star Spangled Banner
As the song of freedom fills the air
Say a prayer for the boys over there.

All of us are working hand in hand
We're working to preserve this wonderous land
But there is something more we all can do
That will help to bring our loved ones safely through.

Say a prayer for the boys over there
When they play the Star Spangled Banner
Picture them by the dawn's early light
And ask the Lord to watch over them each night.

Lift your eyes as you silently rise
When they play the Star Spangled Banner
As the song of freedom fills the air
Say a prayer for the boys over there.

I was looking for the rest of the lyrics, I just heard it sung and there were about 3-4 verses. Very disappointed to see just one verse.
