Denison Marrs Lyrics Follow

Denison Marrs was a U.S. indie rock band from Lakeland, Florida. They formed in 1995 originally under the name Divine Child, and released their first self-recorded and published EP Every Seven Minutes in 1998. In March 1999, the band signed a record deal with 6x6 Records and changed their name to Denison Marrs, citing conflicts with existing usages of "Divine Child". The name "Denison Marrs" arose out of a misinterpretation of a Venus and Mars T-shirt one of the band members owned. (Venus and Mars is an alternative clothing store near downtown Orlando, FL.)
Their first full-length album, Holding Hands @ 35,000 Ft, was released in July 1999. Soon after, the band signed with Velvet Blue Music and released another full-length album, a limited-edition 7", and a split with Stavesacre. Among growing national popularity, the band then signed with Floodgate Records to release Then Is The New Now jointly with Velvet Blue. Their final eponymous album was also released by Floodgate in 2004. The group disbanded in 2005.
