Cloudburst lyrics

English Lyrics:

The rain ...
Eyes of shadow-water
eyes of well-water
eyes of dream-water.
Blue suns, green whirlwinds,
pecks of light that open
pomegranate stars.
But tell me, burnt earth,
is there no water?
Only blood, only dust,
only naked footsteps on the thorns?

The rain awakens ...
We must sleep with open eyes,
We must dream with our hands
we must dream dreams of active rivers
Searching for their cause
Dreams of the sun dreaming of its worlds
we must dream aloud,
we must sing till the song
casts roots,
trunks, branches, birds, stars,
we must unearth the lost word,
and remember
what the blood, the tides,
the earth, and the body say,
and return to the point of departure

Spanish Lyrics:

La lluvia
ojos de agua de sombra,
ojos de agua de pozo,
ojos de agua de sueño.
Soles azules, verdes remolinos

I would love to participate in singing this piece at some point in my life. It's amazing!

Couple of typo correction suggestions (These things catch my eye - just the way I am.)

"sólo pisadasde" - should be "sólo pisadas de"
"Buscando su cause" - should be "Buscando su cauce"

Anyway, I recently sang Eric Whitacre's "Lux Arumque" - beautiful !!

Well done! Not a bad video at all. I sang this with an honor choir in 1997 and it was SO much fun! It brings a lot of fun times to my mind. I'm not sure if it was just an adaptation, but the Spanish pronunciation was amiss in a few areas (I speak it), but that's just me being unnecessarily picky. It sounded great. Velvety smooth baritones and GEEZ how high can those countertenors go?!! Nice work
