I never knew the story behind these lyrics, and although I had always loved whitacre's works, I never knew how much more powerful they could be with a little background knowledge. Every time I hear this song now I tear up a little. This is an absolutely marvelous work of music.

Wow. I've been in love with Eric Whitacre's wonderful composing skills, but this is yet another level up. He is amazing, and this is my favorite song.

The lyrics and the musicality of this peice really portray the feelings associated with loosing a loved one. They show how your emotions are topsy-turvy and like a roller coaster.

Once again, Eric Whitacre is a WONDERFUL composer and I feel blessed to listen and own this song.
