France Gall's German version lyrics are NOT a translation of the original Portuguese by Chico Buarque(1966), but a statement about the fashion world and Rosita, who wears 2 oranges in her hair, bananas at her waist, and a coconut dress.
In the mid-sixties the song was quite popular. In addition to his Portuguese original, the composer, Mr. Buarque, also recorded an English version.
Italian versions that are essentially translations of the original were recorded by Astrud Gilberto and Mina Mazzini.
