Hand Jive
Alright, everybody, now we’re gonna play a clapping game, called the hand jive. Are you ready to hand jive? Okay, all you have to do is clap whatever rhythm I clap right along with me. You got the idea?

Alright here’s a rhythm game with a crazy name, they call the hand jive. All you do is put 5 fingers together with the other five and you clap like this. (listen and clap)

Now I know you go this rhythm down, we’re gonna jive just a little bit more. This time put your hands together on the count of two and four. And clap like this. (listen and clap)

Now let’s take this rhythm all the way, cause you know it’s kinda neat. Everybody do the hand jive on the count of every beat. And you clap like this. (listen and clap)

Okay, now, I’m gonna clap some rhythms and I want you to echo back, whatever rhythm I clap. You got it? Okay, let’s see if you can get this rhythm. (listen and clap)
