Real followers through deception

Force another shallow connection

Let it all waste away as you sit and ignore

You entered like the others that came far before

Go play off another cliche
Call it all your own
I’ll hold onto the things that you’ve never known

Find yourself held to common boundaries
Down beyond the tortured rhythmic spell
By distorted and disposable ideals
Past the depths and perils of manmade hell
You try to fill your voids with avoidance
Then follow footsteps in manipulation
Part of the chain is all you’ve ever been
And question intensions of the misshapen
Imitation

Go play off another cliche
Call it all your own

View truth through what you find sacred
Contrast should not be feared
If you want my submission
You won’t find it here

For that bright hope at last
And that light time have past
And my worldly rest hath gone
