To Where You Are lyrics

Who can say for certain
Maybe you're still here
I feel you all around me
Your memories so clear

Deep in the stillness
I can hear you speak
You're still an inspiration
Can it be
That you are mine
Forever love
And you are watching over me from up above

Fly me up to where you are
Beyond the distant star
I wish upon tonight
To see you smile
If only for awhile to know you're there
A breath away's not far
To where you are

Are you gently sleeping
Here inside my dream
And isn't faith believing
All power cant be seen

As my heart holds you
Just one beat away
I cherish all you gave me everyday
Cause you are mine
Forever love
Watching me from up above

And I believe
That angels breathe
And that love will live on and never leave

Fly me up
To where you are
Beyond the distant star
I wish upon tonight
To see you smile
If only for awhile
To know you're there
A breath away's not far
To where you are

I know you're there
A breath away's not far
To where you are

I love this song. These lyrics give me peace and make me cry at the same time. I had the CD in my car, so I must have heard this song before, but I never took the time to hear the words. I remember pulling over in the rain at night about a month after the death of my husband in 2005. Josh Gorban's voice caught me after the very first line, I set in my car and played it over and over again. It inspired me to have a star named for my husband that Christmas. The song and the star mean a whole lot to me, he realy does have a great smile. I don't have to close my eyes to see his smile and I do feel him with me still. For some unknown reason this valentines day has been very tearful and I just had to print out these lyrics and place them under his pillow. Sometimes it's so......hard to move on.

I lost my husband of 40 years last year and when I heard this song it was so comforting. It truly is beautiful and makes you feel that your angel will always be "just a breath away". I have been buying it for friends of mine who are recent widows and they also have adopted it as their favorite song. I'm curious what it meant to the writer because it seems to have such deep meaning for so many others as stated in all these comments from people who have lost someone close to them.

My wonderful husband passed away in January, 2008. I was sitting in the car waiting in a construction zone when an old Beatles song came on --he loved the Beatles. Next came JoshGroan's "To Where You Are". It was so poignant. It hasn.t been an easy time and this song just made me feel his love surrounding me; telling me that he is near.

I lost my dear husband March 31st suddenly. I listen to this song and it makes me feel like he is looking over me. Listening to this is like listening to an Angel singing.

This song is perfect for my dad. He died on Dec 22, 2000 and I miss him terribly. When I first heard it, I immedietly thought of my dad. I believe that he is watching me fom up above and I would give anything to him smile one more time.

I love this song, although, it makes me cry every time I hear it. I lost my 21 year old son on New Year's Day 2004. I do feel him around me, as the song says. I know he is watching me from up above and that he is happy. Just wish it was as easy as the song says to "fly me up to where you are". I have seen him smile, though, in my dreams. I know he's fine. Thank you Josh Groban for this song - it's comforting.

Josh's songs are always so heartfelt and profound yet succinct. They're always an encouragement to me and I listen to them often. Last year my coach and grandfather died and my cousin was almost killed in a car accident. In conclusion, my family had a real tough year. This song was always a help in making the tears stop flowing, but sometimes it makes them come. I hope it helps you as much as it has helped me.

My sister and I just love Josh singing this song. The lyrics are so poignant.
We played this song at our Mother's interment in 2004, and we feel she is still around us, "just a breath away."
Thank you Josh, for bringing us songs with such meaning.

I do love this song. Thank you so much. I don't know what the lyrics mean but I lost my husban 7 yrs ago and I wish this song had been out then. I would have played it at his service. It's in my papers that it will be played at my own. I love Josh Groban and I like the lyrics "a breath away's not far from where you are." I like to think he is watching over me from up above.
altho I sometimes cry while listening to this song, it makes me feel like my husband is not so far away.
