It's a misty winter moon this evening
But it once was warm and bright above
When we touched in the hush of the falling snow
I remember the firelight glow, of love

But it's a colder winter moon this evening
For I learned to play the fool too soon
I couldn't see that I would be alone now
I was blinded by the winter moon

Once we wandered hand in hand
We two, in a crystal winterland
We knew, not a sigh, not a care
It was right to be there, in your arms
