You see all black & white, like it's all so simple
You always seem, to me, like Jesus in the temple
Your reason for complete lack of tact is the letter of a law

Two cops in a fight on a Saturday night
On a New Year's Eve by the black & white
Outside my front door, comin' through my walls
From the street of fear in to the sacred halls of my home
I can hear the sound so clear
Of a strong black man callin' and end to the year

I can't relax while watching snow or the tree glow on the wrapping
I feel the pull of my own wool pulled over my eyes napping
There's got to be a prayer left in my that can set my spirit free
Some pride & joy left for me
She's at work I'm all alone, a holiday turned in to stone
Just like Medusa I cut loose and let my snake locks curl
Your are holier than thou, but I know I'm the fattened cow laid out for dinner
