War is overdue
The time has come for you
To shoot your leaders down
Join forces underground
Lose control
Increasing pace
Warped and bewitched
Time to erase
Whatever they say
These people are torn
Wild and bereft
Assassin is born (yeah)
(aim shoot kill
your leaders)
Oppose and disagree
Destroy Demonocracy
Lose control
increasing pace
Warped and bewitched
Time to erase
Whatever they say
These people are torn
Wild and bereft
Assassin is born (yeah)

This song resonates the concept of the album in war and hatred ect. its very hard and fast paced, rolls through the beats and has great paced drumming and overlapping singing which develops throughout the song another emotional passionate song from the muse
This song gives me the chills.
It makes me smile. : )Awesome Song. Go MUSE Keep Doing Your Thing
god what a great intro
So what the hell does Matt and the gang have against democracy? Fuck that! Democracy rules! Tried and True. I really hope they aren't just trying to pull the political strings to sell records.
Listen to the whole album and realize that they're criticizing politicians, not democracy.
"How can we win when fools can be kings?" from Knights of Cydonia summarizes the album really well.
and... the lyrics say "demonocracy", not "democracy"...
Damn straight, Johan!
This is such an angry song, I love it.
I also needed to change a few things for this song.
(also please take out the "in" in 'in increasing pain', sorry I left that out.)Has anyone else noticed the similarities with Knight Rider Theme (KITT and D. Hasselhoff, the 80s) and this song? Just listen and compare.
I must say, this is one of my fav songs on the albums, turning it up is scary. I could hear it ears for 12 hours...whoops
I love this song its mad but most of all i love MATTHEW BELLAMY!! he is the hottest singer on earth ... i went to the concert that was on at the riverstage last week and the band was sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo good i think they are better live then they are on cd :D:D but i still love muse either way. I love the album absolution and also showbiz well really i like all the albums hehe ... anyway Peace & Love

what? no its DEMONocracy...its a playing on words, i think its about a society that claims to be democratic but clearly isn't
and it doesn't work brilliantly either, i mean, it has its flaws like everything.
It's DEM0Nocracy!!
Not DEM0cracy!!It's DEM0Nocracy!!
Not DEM0cracy!!oh jeez i made that democracy mistake at first XD, but then i double checked :P, then looked up the definition...
I agree with the DemonCracy thing but at the beginning there's even a scary thing still: 'Shoot your leaders down'. Sounds a bit chaotic and anarchic to me. I love Muse, anyway.
Its the leaders that bring the chaos not the muse.
wille
i heard the knight rider theme and i know why you would think that they sound similar. if you're looking for skmeone to blame about sounding a lot like that song, it woul gave to be System of a Down. listen closely to the song I-E-A-I-A-I-O. it is exactly the same. i just realized that.
