Lying In the Moon
I was once totally faded
Lost to all
Now I feel completely jaded
Mind’s taken a fall
I used to be at the top of my game
I let my will fail
Now I know my only offset was not enough fame
Out to the night I wail

I once felt I had to fall away
A great tide
Began to brake against the fray
In my mind I hide
Soon consumed by the nightfall
My soul a blackened furnace
I had to gave up my life, throw away my all
An all-new life was in earnest

Then my eyes were relieved
I saw you walk in
My heart’s desires were believed
With you I walk out of my sin
I took you by the hand
I was pretending to be who I’m not
Then the time passed away like sand
It was something I fought

Slowly I came upon you
Breaking away from my old self
Showing that I had finally broke through
Putting away the badness on a shelf
