Fall to the floor, you're always looking for more,
it's a quarter to six, but I've been up since four.
We don't wake up without a yawn, get your bowl of cereal, turn your TV on.
Sit down at the computer but I see the pile of bills,
round here it's everybody else's pockets but ours to fill.
Wanna know what my last will and testament says? "All of this, to you."
Wanna pick up my guitar but it's time to take you off to school.
And there you are.
And I drop you off but I forgot your change of clothes and your lunch

At quarter to three..
just when I'm starting to get creative,
time to catch a cab back down to 13th street.
You're standing on the steps with your teachers,
lookng for me, saying All the other babysitters came already.

I want to take you to the museum of natural history.
And on the way, on the subway, somebody stands up,
starts screaming about how he's got God,
and all the rest of us better start believe him.
