Mayi A Gaye - Boukman Eksperyans lyrics

This isn't this exact version but these are the correct spellings (although there's not often one set way to spell some words in Haitian Creole) and translation to the original folk song.

Wongolo, w ale
Kilè w a vini wè-m ankò? W ale
Peyi-a chanje, kilè w a vini wè-m ankò? W ale.

Wongolo, you're leaving
When will you come to see me again? You're leaving
The country is changing, when will you come to see me again? You're leaving.

the translation i was given says:

the country has changed, the country has fallen,
    the country has collapsed,
    the corn is gone,
the children are possessed by evil spirits
wongolo, wongolo when will you return to me

Thank you for the translation (and it looks like more correct spelling)Yes, it was really interesting to be learning this with my students the week before the earthquake. Is Mayi A Gaye a reference to corn or food? The student who transcribed it for me is still just learning English.

[It think I recall this -- with whatever meaning I can get from it...]
Wongoulo w alle (WOngolo, where are you going?)
Ki le wa vini we m'encor (Who will come back again?) Where are you going? (repeated)
Paiye a change (country has changed)
    Paiye a fin tombe
Paiye a kongoule (country is broken)
    [really striking post earthquake]
