Better Late Than Frozen lyrics
Note from the author - I don't know where the lyrics came from that I found on your site, but they are incorrect. The tune on the album has no lyrics, it was part two of a suite - the instrumental prelude to the song. Part three - never published - has the lyrics, which are included on the album. Here they are:
Better Late than Frozen, part III - (S. Roberts / L. Adams)
[Instrumental-only, part II, appears on the album]
Wondering where the string goes, long shining silver thread
Wondering how I came to be here, when I’m at home tucked in bed
Well, I know it’s a matter of some concern to all of you gathered here
But it’s way downstairs, past your hopes and fears,
so if you’ll kindly open your ears…
Anything will tell you, you’re Better Late Than Frozen
There are no secrets here
The problem’s just in choosing, standing there wondering where to go
You know we’re all going down, but we’ll be back next time around
Wondering where the spark goes, it was here just yesterday
Shut in tight, locked up, out of sight, got to get out without delay
Well, I feel it’s a matter of some concern to all of me gathered here
And I know how you feel, I’ve got my eyes peeled,
you’ve been dropping some tears in your beer
Everything has told me, I’m Better Late Than Frozen
Been sitting here too long now
It’s time I did some moving, ‘stead of sitting here wondering where to go
I know my life’s going down, and I won’t be here next time around
Figure on staying just a little bit longer
I really couldn’t tell you why
But I feel all right so I’m gonna step into the light and get high
I sure am glad I was here with you, even for a little while
I hope we meet again, even if we’re late,
But for now – good-bye
