He slammed the door in silence left her staring at a wall
She shouted her final word
They bowed their last curtain call.

Caught her in the street to say, “ Babe I was wrong”
Both spoke out in silence
A cat’s game was the call

They walked further towards the brick wall.

They made their way to the corner store
Where they stood face to face
Neither one saw the sadness in the other’s eyes.
A brick wall had grown where there once was love
Now stood strong and tall
