Blow Top Blues lyrics
Blues On The Bayou
You're On Top (Blues In 'G')
Yes you're on the top now, baby
But don't nothing stay the same
Hey you're on the top now, baby
But don't nothing stay the same
Every now and then, baby
Lady luck deals another hand
You're calling me your pal now
When I used to be your man
Hey you're calling me your pal now, baby
When I used to be your man
You're flying real high now, baby
Go on and raise your sand
I realize now, baby
Your kind of love ain't true
Hey I realize now, baby
Your kind of love won't do
Well what should've been, baby
Now has all fell through

Thanks for having these lyrics. It was a flash back to my pass.

This is a lesson for me that I would have missed if I hadn't remembered "Blow Top Blues" from my song my childhood in 1945. I connected this song with Nellie Letcher(?) I was only seven years old. As years passed, I was caught up in survival and had little time to dwell on music. Now,I am 73 and in the process of indulging my self. If you can find something by Nellie Letcher(?) please email me.
