He is currently under contract with Bellator MMA where he is a former two-time Bellator Lightweight World Champion. He was also the winner of the Bellator Season Four: Lightweight Tournament. He is currently ranked as the #15 lightweight in the world by FightMatrix.com. He was the 2011 Breakthrough Fighter of the Year. He holds notable victories over UFC Lightweight Champions Benson Henderson and Eddie Alvarez.
