“Little Things”

I skip a stone and watch the ripples flow away
I sit alone and watch the sun begin the day
I light a flame and watch it dancing in the wind
I go to sleep and do it all over again

In the same spot everyday
Where I can see the little things

I feel the promise of a miracle today
I feel like listening to what you have to say
Could we go walking by a castle on a hill?
Must I wait this long to get my fill?

I say the dreams I dream are real
Well I doubt that- but then again
