This song to me is about a man who was emotionally abused as a child. His "inner child" is in the driving seat both literally and mentally, driving him to help. The words are the words said to him by his abuser. It is a song to say goodbye to his life as it is.

I really like this song, because I associated with some of my situations and feelings (nothing of drugs). I take the part of God like "poetic license" or figurativly. God makes NO mistakes.

I love this song. to me the song is about our parents that once they are old we, the children, have to take care of them. they become incapable of looking after themselves... so in the end the kid drives his dad to an old persons home... atleast thats what i think.

This is my interpretation (could be wrong)
Someone is trying to help the other person come off drugs, (aches, needles, liquid sky), who they admired before they got addicted (mother natures son, lucky sevens), they have now become a waste of space (from drugs) and they are saying goodbye to the person they once knew.... maybe... The last bit of the video even looks a bit like a rehab clinic, not that ive ever been to one... :)
