This Shaker hymn was written by Sister Clarissa Jacobs not Polly M. Rupe and the original words for "O, I'm glad I am a Christian" were "I'm glad I am a Shaker." The next verse should be: "I mean to be obedient." And there is also another verse: "I love to attend to order." The words & music are in the songbook, "Love is Little - A Sampling of Shaker Spirituals."
