Fear lyrics

Morning smiles
like the face of a newborn child,
innocent, unknowing.

Winter's end
promises of a long lost friend.
Speaks to me of comfort

But I fear
I have nothing to give.
I have so much to lose here in this lonely place.

Tangled up in our embrace
There's nothing I'd like better than to fall.
But I fear I have nothing to give.

Wind in time
Rapes the flower trembling on the vine
And nothing yields to shelter it from above.
They say temptation will destroy our love.
The never ending hunger

But I fear
I have nothing to give
I have so much to lose here in this lonely place
Tangled up in our embrace
There's nothing I'd like better than to fall
But I fear I have nothing to give.
I have so much to lose.
I have nothing to give.
We have so much to lose...

What a truly beautiful song. I'm a nurse, and these words are so touching to what we do.

The lyrics should read 'lose' (the opposite of win) not 'loose' (the opposite of tight).

Also 'tangled up in your embrace, there's there's nothing I'd like better than to fall.' Next time its 'OUR embrace' and only one 'there's'.

Other than that, it is my favourite song of hers. It is so evocative used in 'Roswell' and 'Forces of Nature'.

I would have to say that is probably one of my favorite songs. This song, out of millions that are and have been recorded is one of the most beautifully written. Everytime I hear it, it brings back fond memories. What a wonderful mind this woman posesses.
