The golden strands of a young girl's hair
made a gorgeous field
and I lay down in it.
I smelled the snow in the sky.
Oh I, I beckoned the angels to come
and leave their shapes with me. I said, "if you
really try, you can almost see the strands
of a young girl's hair
in this field,
where everything is golden."

A foreign land with a foreign tongue
called me to its shore,
far from anything I'd known.
It spoke in words I couldn't understand.
But I still found my way.
And up the rocks I climbed,
til I chanced upon a, a gorgeous field
where a gorgeous child stood.
I saw the angels there,
oh where everything was golden.

I realized I was a fool for thinking
that I was in a different place.
