My uncle on my father's side's a farmer
He is old now but smiles just the same
Spent his life working way over yonder
In the fields among the rocks and the clay

Now I can't help but think that there's a truth there
Something missing in this modern trance
Maybe to live and work the land of your fathers
Is the offering our sanity demands

People chase the end of the rainbow

Passed the birchtrees I'll see my uncle wave, singing:
