This is just such a positive song. For me it speaks to the pair, of relationships, the good days and the bad. Here at the end of this misery is a song of hope not just sarcasasm, "no false starts/ i wanna get out and make it work." I love it.

Isn't it "no more leaky hose in your brain" I don't hear "holes"
It's clearly about someone on drugs who needs to snap out of it.
