I woke up thirty three, not quite where I thought I'd be
Fell short of a lot of dreams and expectations that are put on me
A lot of those things I thought I'd need
Don't mean as much as I thought they'd mean
I sure got far away from where I'd say I'd be today

But I'm closer to right where I should have been
To the man I really am and to the friends who call me friend
