Lazarus lyrics

Poor, blind Lazarus
Weak and disabled
He had to eat crumbs
From the rich mans table

CHORUS:
Dip your finger in the water
Come and cool my tongue
'Cause I'm tormented
By the flames

Rich man divings
He lived so well
And when he died
He went straight to Hell

CHORUS:
Dip your finger in the water
Come and cool my tongue
'Cause I'm tormented
By the flames

Flames singe my eyes
And I can't see no light
Buried to the mouth
Brimstone, sky light
Keep self 7 seas
And all the luxuries
No finger will lift you to my die

I long to chat
I long to see
I long to give prayers,
To my Everly King

CHORUS:
Dip your finger in the water
Come and cool my tongue
'Cause I'm tormented
By the flames

I really do just love this song! I heard it first a couple of months ago as it is played in the English dub of the Dragonball Z movie titled: Broly, the Legendary Super Saiyan.

The scene in where you can hear it playing in the background is right when the saiyan Broly lays eyes upon his childhood tormentor - Goku (who is also the hero and main character of Dragonball Z).

For those of you who don't know, Broly and Goku (also known as 'Kakarot' by his own people) were born on the exact same day; 30 years beforehand in the time placement and setting of the movie.

When they (Broly and Goku) were both about a day or so old, they were lying side by side in cribs next to one another. Unfortunately, 'Kakarot' was quite a crybaby as an infant and did nothing but wail and scream his head off for only God knows how long. And of course, poor Broly had to lie there next to him and listen to him cry for the entire time!
And, as strange as it may seem, it is because of the fact that Goku's crying ended up making baby Broly cry as well that Broly hates Goku so much.

Looking at the lyrics, I don't really see how the words fit in with the scene where the two of them meet again. However, the music and slow and steady beat of the song give the scene an air of building tension and indecision.
As a conclusion, I think the song was well chosen for the scene in the 8th Dragonball Z movie. I really wish I knew what that best guessed line is as the song is quite hard to make out in reference to the words.
