Everyone In Love With the Wrong Person

excuse me one and all here at this lovely gathering
I return to you from years of work in solitude
so many faces I remember from some years ago
I stand here once again and bring you urgent news me friends

remember then I propped this soapbox up and said "Beware!"
"All you lovers must now heed my warning very well!
From observing couples in the past and presently,
I see that over sweet mankind someone has cast this wicked spell"

everyone in love with the wrong person
everyone in love with the wrong person
surrender and rejoice
you have no other choice, so
everyone in love with the wrong person
truth go marching on

that day I cast an incantation that reversed the spell
so one and all were free to find that perfect one
and I left you all here changing partners joyfully
but what I see here now quite frankly has me really stunned with
